What a crazy little time lately. Lots of hospital stays and visits. Lots of tests. Lots of doctors, needles, tubes etc. Good news : Every day is a day closer to me getting better. Its a long, awful process. It will all work out in the end though. God isn't done with me yet! I'm gradually learning that His presence is all I want, all I need, all I seek. I long to know Him more. I long to know Him deeper. I long for my heart to be transformed into His. He is truly an amazing God. How do I even explain His goodness?
Here's an example of just how amazing he is. I'd like to introduce you to someone INCREDIBLY special to my heart. This little man entered the world on March 1 and I couldn't be happier. So excited to introduce you to my darling nephew, Kaine Francis. What an absolute delight!

Life or Death?
Ive been thinking alot lately about words. Why we speak and what power we have in those words. This is the conclusion I've come up with...
God created EVERYTHING with His words. He spoke, it happened. How can we possibly say that our words have no power? How can we possibly believe that what we speak out doesn't really matter? If you were to put someone in a room and tell them how awful they are, how ugly they are, how worthless they are, how they will never do anything etc, what do you think will happen? They are going to believe you, they are going to take that on, they are going to hate themselves. What do you think comes from someone who believes this stuff? DEATH. That's why there's theft. That's why there's murder. That's why there's sexual/physical/emtional abuse. If people don't know WHO they are (which isn't the worldly opinion. The creators opinion is the only one that matters), there will only be death.
Now, the flip side... You put someone in a room and tell them how beautiful they are, tell them how they're worth so much more than diamonds and rubies, tell them they're awesome, tell them you appreciate them, tell them just how special they are and how many great and incredible things they're capable of, what do you think will come from that? The answer is LIFE. Imagine a world where everyone encouraged everyone. Where people didn't gossip. Where people didn't slander other people. Where people realised what a human life was worth.
I actually believe that if that guy that murdered those people (hypothetical person here) really believed the TRUTH about Himself (what the creator believed), those people would still be alive and he would be living a fulfilled and happy life. What would have happened if you had of encouraged that person with their music instead of tell them to just give up? They could have become a music teacher and encouraged the talent in other peoples lives. What if you had of encouraged that guy who loved science in school rather than tell him how much of a loser he was? He could have come up with the cure to cancer. What if you had of told that person that they were beautiful, loved and special rather than ugly and hated? Maybe she wouldn't have committed suicide. I know these are very "out there" statements and I don't mean at all to be condemning. I am just as guilty as the next person. What I'm saying here is : Instead of pulling people down with our words, why don't we pull them up? How about we begin to change the world, one smile at a time. When you're at the grocery store next, tell the girl serving you that she has pretty hair. When you're at the doctor, tell him how much you appreciate his time. When you're at school, say hi to the person that you would never be caught dead talking to. Make a difference. You have no idea how many lives you could be saving by simply changing the focus of your speech.

Things I Think You Should Believe :
1: You are accepted
2: You were not put on this earth for no reason
3: It is possible to have peace that overtakes all understanding
4: Things that hurt now don't have to hurt later
5: You are worth far more than diamonds and rubies
6: You are capable of greatness
7: You can live life to the full
8: You're allowed to be you
9: It's good to be passionate
10 : There is a God that created you and loves you beyond all measure
(:

Hello world, I'm back!
Wow, I know my last post says that it has been awhile, but this REALLY has been awhile. Life has held many adventures, challenges, laughs, tears, tantrums and leaps of joy since my last post. I won't go into detail - but it's certainly been interesting. My whole world fell apart and is now being rebuilt. Every plan that I had was stripped away and new passions, joys and plans have been set in place.
I'm now living on the Gold Coast, QLD. Today I began my Law degree! (OH...MY...GOODNESS.... i know!) ... So crazy! I'm officially one day into my Bachelor of Law/Criminology/Criminal Justice. I'm doing a 5 year degree in 3years, which means I study 48weeks of the year. My promise for this year is that "No Dream Is Too Big!" I totally believe it. I'm passionate about seeing an end put to the Human Trafficking industry. I'm passionate about being in a world where people are no longer bought and sold for slavery. I'm passionate about being in a world where people no longer need to turn to prostitution as a way of life. This is why I'm studying Law. Someone needs to put an end to this, why can't it be me? I long to be in a world that is free and is filled with people who know their identity and know the one who created them with divine purpose. Divine love. Divine life.
I'm attending a new church, with new people. The last 8 months or so has been a time of reassessing what I love, what I'm passionate about and where I want to go in life. It's been a time of realising what areas I need to grow in, places I need healing, finding my identity all over again and going back to my first love - Jesus.
The last little while I've become incredibly close with the local hospitals. My health has taken a dive to the ground, but I'm choosing to speak life and healing. I'm choosing to live life to the full, despite what my health is like. Soon I'll have surgery and soon I'll be better. Until then I'm on total and complete bed rest. I've been given permission to go to church once a week under the conditions that I don't drive there and I sit there and do nothing.
I'm thankful for new beginnings. For the incredible people that God has so strategically placed in my life. I'm thankful that He loves me, even when I doubt Him. He loves me even when I make stupid mistakes. He loves me. He loves me. He loves me.
Find what you're passionate about. Pursue it. Live your life to the full. It's so cliche, but you could get hit by a bus tomorrow. If that happened, what would you be remembered for? Forget about the problems that life brings, even just for 5minutes. Smile about dumb things. Be excited that you have air in your lungs. Do something today that you have never done before. Think something about yourself that you have always been scared to believe. I dare you. Branch out. Live life.
